I was never notified of a credit card case which I ';lost'; by default 1.5 years ago. Can I still contest it?

Is it too late to go back and appeal the fact that I was never served or notified of this judgment?I was never notified of a credit card case which I ';lost'; by default 1.5 years ago. Can I still contest it?
find out what court the case was filed in. there should be a record of service. even if there is you could appeal and claim improper service. many times they will use an outdated address and blame you because you didnt give them a new address. you may still be able to get the judgement vacated. it works in your favor because appeals might take months or more then a year. during that time they cant garnish or put liens on property. maybe youll get lucky and the bill collector will drop it.I was never notified of a credit card case which I ';lost'; by default 1.5 years ago. You need to speak with the judge.

Normally, there are laws regarding notifying the defendant (that's you) that there is a court date.

But you may find it difficult to find evidence you weren't notified (beyond your own word).
